The Pokémon Company and Universal Studios Japan announce partnership starting in 2022

It looks like Pokemon The company diversifies again in other alleys and avenues. This time it’s something that makes a lot of sense, the theme parks. This specific new venture is with Universal Studios Japan, and as one notable Pokemon aficionado Serebii, the two entities announced a partnership to create new theme park attractions for the old sites. This new partnership will officially begin next year in 2022, with the expected end date approaching the end of the same year.

It’s important to note that this probably isn’t a brand new theme park just for Pokemon. If anything, Nintendo would more than likely adopt something like that and tie it to their already impressive Super Nintendo World. This is potentially a new extension for an existing universal theme park in Japan, especially Osaka. Both companies are also in their brainstorming stages, so it’s possible that something else could come out of this by the end of this. Yet the fact that the whole premise is only focused on Pokemon is very exciting.

The Pokemon The company isn’t the first video game-related company for Universal Studios Japan. They also collaborated with Capcom to Monster Hunter, which had both attractions and the ability to earn in-game items by participating. It’s also important to note that both companies are taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, as the country is still reeling from the recent wave. Hopefully by the time all Pokemon-related attractions are finished, they will be able to open to all those who wish it. With the Super Nintendo World and this, a trip to Japan promises to be more and more enticing.
