PS Plus July 2021 free PS4, PS5 games REVEAL – Bad news for PlayStation Plus subscribers | Games | Entertainment

The reveal of the free monthly PS Plus games is always a highlight for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Sadly, however, there is bad news for fans awaiting the reveal of the free PS5 and PS4 games for July 2021, as there is still more than a week to go.
Due to the way the dates fall, Sony is not expected to reveal the next wave of PlayStation Plus games until 4:30 p.m. on June 30.
The July 2021 PS Plus versions will be available to download and play less than a week later on July 6.
While there’s always a chance Sony will break with tradition and announce the games early, it seems unlikely without a State of Play event in the newspaper.
It’s more likely that the next batch of free PlayStation Plus games will leak before the planned reveal.
Indeed, if we are to believe the latest reports, a free PS Plus game may have already leaked.
It is rumored that the PS5 version of A Plague Tale Innocence could be included in the PS Plus lineup for July 2021.
Rumors mostly revolve around plans for A Plague Tale’s PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades.
A Plague Tale: Innocence gets a next-gen upgrade on July 6, the same day that PS Plus games become available for download.
With the game also coming to Xbox Game Pass, it is believed to be a perfect fit for PlayStation Plus, especially with the announcement of a sequel.
Plague Tale’s next-gen update will include a visual boost for 4K graphics and 60fps gameplay.
Needless to say, the PS5 version will support 3D audio, while DualSense functionality is also expected.
A unique game involving Soldiers of the Inquisition and swarms of rats, A Plague Tale currently does quite well with an 81% score on Metacritic.
“Follow the dark story of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, on a heartbreaking journey through history’s darkest hours.
“Hunted by the soldiers of the Inquisition and surrounded by swarms of unstoppable rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other.
“As they struggle to survive against all odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal and ruthless world.”
The sequel – which was announced at E3 – will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud) in 2022.
