Pokémon Nexomon-type RPG is on its way to consoles

The Pokémon Nexomon-type RPG will be released on consoles after previously being a PC and mobile exclusive.
Developed by Lime Turtle, Inc., this monster catching RPG is a callback to classic top-down collecting games such as Pokemon and Digimon. Originally released on mobile and PC, Nexomon will soon be available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox x series, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.
The series consists of the original game Nexomon – which originally released in 2018 – and its sequel Nexomon: Extinction which released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC last year. Take a look at the console trailer below to see what new players to the series can expect.
The game features a top to bottom chibi style reminiscent of the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes – which are due out later this year – and seems to have some similarities to the Pokemon series as a whole. In this trailer, we see the player stepping into tall grass that sparks a battle between two Nexomons Blizbrow, an ape-style monster, and Camoleon, a lizard-like creature.
Nexomon also features a cast of exuberant characters that the blue-haired main protagonist will meet on his journey, including a robotic-looking friend named Atlas, two green-haired girls named Ellie and Deena, and the sinister Nexolord.
In the original Nexomon game, players can catch, evolve, and collect over 300 unique Nexomon creatures which they can then team up with and add to Nexopedia. At the start of the game, players will be able to choose their starting companion from among 7 unique Nexomons and compete with them in a turn-based combat system. There are also plenty of places to explore in the game which promises players 10 dynamic regions to visit.
Unfortunately, we do not yet have a specific release date for the console version of Nexomon. In the trailer, the game was rated as “coming soon”, so fans of the series will not have to wait too long to experience the world of Nexomon on consoles.
