SEOUL, May 23, 2022 – LG Electronics (LG) UltraGear™ gaming monitors (models 27GP950 and 27GP850) are the first in the world to achieve VESA certification® AdaptiveSync Display certification, initiated by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The new VESA® The AdaptiveSync Display logo helps consumers easily identify and compare the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) performance of gaming displays that support VESA’s Adaptive-Sync protocol before purchasing.
To be VESA AdaptiveSync Display certified, LG’s elite gaming monitors had to meet the exhaustive and rigorous requirements of the VESA Adaptive-Sync Display Compliance Test Specification (Adaptive-Sync Display CTS), which uses more than 50 test criteria to establish clear benchmarks. to evaluate the VRR capabilities of monitors and laptops. With high refresh rates, fast gray-to-gray (GTG) response times, and low latency, both UltraGear gaming monitors met or exceeded the test results specified in the new open VESA standard.
LG’s AdaptiveSync Display certified monitors, LG UltraGear 27GP950 and 27GP850, deliver the level of visual performance needed for smooth gaming experiences. Both models met the required scores on VESA’s CTS Adaptive-Sync display, including in several key metrics such as refresh rate, screen flicker, and response time. Both 27-inch gaming monitors feature advanced LG Nano IPS panels offering high refresh rates and 1 millisecond GTG response time, enabling smooth gameplay and crisp, clear visuals for both PC and console gaming .
