Aliens: Fireteam Elite VG247 Cooperative Video – Plus Definitive Alien Video Game Reviews
In space, no one can see you replaying the whole level and pretending that you are playing it for the first time in order to look better at the games than you actually are.
The video you see above is me, Dorrani, and Sherif playing the opening level of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the upcoming three-player co-op shooter with Left 4 Dead vibes.
This is coming from newcomers to Cold Iron Studios, which might cause an uproar of worry in your chest like a bad chest case, but our first impressions are pretty good overall. We had a great time blowing up xenomorphs, which bodes well for the full game.
It’s fair to say that we had reason to be somewhat worried about Fireteam Elite, as the franchise hasn’t always been good to us.
The final ratings of all key Alien games
Video games based on the Alien franchise have been a roller coaster of emotions over the years.
- Alien 3 on Mega Drive: good
- Alien 3 on SNES: medium
- Alien 3 – The Gun (arcade): an arcade classic
- Alien Trilogy: good
- AVP on PC: superb
- Aliens vs. Predator (2010): decent, actually
- Aliens: Infestation: all is well
- Aliens: Colonial Marines: appalling
- Alien: Isolation: the GOAT
This is a definitive rating of all the major Alien games. This cannot be disputed as it is in fact objectively and subjectively 100% accurate. End of.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is set to launch on August 24 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (Steam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. For more games coming this year and beyond, check out the video game release dates page.
